The Louisville Photographic Society

 2008 YEAR-END WINNING PHOTOS

Each month there is a competition at the meetings with five divisions for competition: Color Prints, Monochrome / Black and White Prints, Slides, Digitals, and Novice.  The categories for the competitions for the upcoming year are voted on in December.  Each month, all entries are judged, and points are awarded in each of the five divisions for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention.  (Up to three honorable mention awards can be given in each area.)   At the end of the year, the points awarded to each person are added up, and the top three winners in each division for the year receive special recognition at the Annual LPS Banquet in February. 

Additionally, all entries that have won points throughout the year (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mentions) are allowed to compete in a year-end competition in each division.  This competition is for the best all-around entry in its division.  Below are the 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and honorable mention year-end winners in each division for the end of the year competition.
