Thanks From Eric Link, Ass’t Sup’t, Fine Arts Dep’t, KY State Fair:
I would like to thank all of the people of LPS that took the time to assist at the State Fair this year. I was a totally surprised at the number of LPS members that helped and the amount of verve and time they were all able to provide. Many people worked with Dennis Shaffner, Meredith Maney and me for five straight days by first assisting with the receiving and screening of the photos and then continuing with the hanging of the entries.
Together you helped the Fine Arts department hang more than 2900 photographs in record time! Watching you all as you smiled and joked, even under the work load, made me proud to be associated with such a fine organization as the Louisville Photographic Society and the outstanding people that are its members!
Of the top four places in the winning photos, the LPS managed to capture thirteen ribbons out of a total of forty, - the best record of all the entered camera clubs in the state. I didn’t count all of the Honorable Mentions, but there were several more ribbon winners there as well.
Dennis, Meredith and I look forward to working with all of you again next year and want you all to be proud of the fantastic job you did. We all owe you a very proud and gracious… THANK YOU! Your assistance made the job a pleasant and much shorter event as compared to last year.

A few remaining rooms remain at the lodge. Registration begins at 4 PM EDT on Friday at the lodge, and activities start after dinner. More information can be found elsewhere in this issue of “Reflex—ions” or you can call Larry at 502-451-3191.
